FlixBus App and website
The easiest way to book a trip is using our main page both on the website or App.
Choose your departure and destination, select the date(s) of your travel and add the number of passengers.
At the end of the online booking, a confirmation will appear on your screen. Check it carefully so that if you notice any mistake you can quickly change it in Manage My Booking or by contacting us below.
You will also receive your booking confirmation by e-mail.
Please do not forget to mention your mobile phone number during the booking process as we inform about any changes on your ride both via SMS and e-mail.
Travel agencies and ticket outlets
If you want to purchase your ticket offline, you can do so at one of our official ticket resellers or FlixShops. Our colleagues on site offer the same tariffs you can find on FlixBus website, plus the possibility to pay in cash. Please note that reselling agencies and FlixShops charge an additional Agency Fee.
At the bus
If there are free seats, you can buy a ticket from the bus driver.* When purchasing a ticket from the bus driver, vouchers cannot be redeemed. The payment receipt is both your ticket and your booking confirmation. Please note that early bird tickets are only available online.
*On-board purchasing is NOT available in the United States, Canada, Brazil or Mexico. Tickets must be purchased online or from a FlixBus ticket sales point.
Website
You can choose the language of the website using the flag in the upper right corner of the website. The currency depends on the language of the website, so if you are using the website in English US, the currency will be United States dollar (USD). It is not possible to choose language and currency independently.
App
The language of the app depends on the language you set on your phone. To change the currency, go to App Settings and select the currency.
You can find a map displaying all travel agencies and ticket outlets on Ticket sales points. There is a list of all of our shops above the map.
There are a number of ways to pay depending on where you buy your ticket.
Online booking. Credit card (VISA/MasterCard/Maestro/Amex/Diners Club/JCB/Discover), PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Revolut Pay (in selected countries).
In travel agencies and ticket outlets. All forms of payment accepted by the agency. Cash payments are always possible.
From the bus driver*. You can purchase you ticket directly with the bus driver, with no extra fees included. You can pay by credit card, debit card, ApplePay or cash. The receipt is also your ticket.
Fees. Some payment methods involve fees added by third-party providers. There is always at least one payment method that is free of charge. There is an Agency Fee when purchasing a ticket from travel agencies and ticket outlets in our shops.
In some countries, a service fee applies for online purchases.
*Not available in the United States or Canada.
It goes without saying that you will always get a seat on our buses but if you want you can also reserve it during the booking process. The price for seat reservation depends on the seat type and the journey distance.
Cancelling or changing seat reservation
You can change or cancel your seat reservation via Manage my booking.
Groups
Reserved seats are not assigned to specific people in your booking. Any member of the group can take any of the reserved seats category.
In some of our buses, seat reservation is not available.
Yes, you automatically receive an invoice sent via e-mail.
If you need an invoice with an address, tick the Add billing address box during the booking process.
To add an invoice address to your booking, log in to Manage My Booking and open the "Invoice section".
From here, you can change the address by clicking "Change billing address".
Please note that as soon as the billing address has been changed, a new invoice will be generated.
On the new invoice, there will be no indication of the price of the ticket, and the amount of the invoice will be 0.
This is because only the billing details have been changed. No price has been paid.
If you want to download your invoice you can do it on Manage My Booking.
