Luggage

On your journey you may transport one small soft bag or backpack and one travel luggage item for free.

Label them with your name and address to avoid luggage mix-ups.

Small soft bags and backpacks

Your small soft bag or backpack is limited to one item with the following dimensions: 42 x 30 x 18 cm and weighing up to 7 kg.

Carry any valuable items in your small soft bag or backpack. Make sure you stow your small soft bag or backpack in the bus in such a way that it does not block the emergency exits (e.g. in the overhead compartments).

Travel luggage

Your travel luggage is limited to one item with dimensions up to 80 x 50 x 30 cm and weighing up to 20 kg. Please note that there might be exceptions to the luggage policy on some of our lines. You can find out about the**** luggage allowance for your trip during the booking process.

You can bring one additional luggage per passenger.

The maximum dimensions of your additional luggage are 80 x 50 x 30 cm and a weight of 20 kg. Fees will apply.

You can add it during the online booking process or after your booking via Manage My Booking.

You can also do it in our FlixShops or official ticket resellers.

Special luggage is limited to a total circumference (height + width + depth) of up to 240 cm and a weight of up to 30 kg. Fees will apply.

Add your special luggage as early as possible during the booking process or afterwards via Manage My Booking.

The space for special luggage is limited.

There might be an exception on luggage regulations on certain routes. 

For journeys in Australia, surfboards are permitted as special luggage as long as they do not exceed 200cm in length.

Items of furniture or parts of items of furniture, electrical appliances, surfboards, car parts, cardboard packaging and animals (with the exception of guide dogs and companion dogs) may not be transported on our buses.

FlixBus doesn't offer a parcel and package shipping service.

For safety reasons, luggage and bicycles can only be transported with their owners who are travelling with us having a valid ticket. 

Rides operated by external partners might have different travel policies. You can identify these rides when the partner's name appears on the left side of the booking process and on your ticket.
