If you require the assistance of a travelling companion or a service animal, we are happy to accommodate them on your journey.

Eligibility and travel conditions

Your travelling companion or service animal may be eligible to travel free of charge, subject to the presentation of valid documentation and the conditions applicable in your region. Please select your region below for full details.

Your travelling companion or service animal can travel free of charge upon presentation of a valid medical or official certificate confirming that their presence is required at all times.

Please ensure you are able to present the following at the bus:

  • A medical or official certificate confirming your need for permanent assistance

  • For travel with a service dog: a document proving that your dog has completed a recognised training programme as a guide dog.

Your travelling companion or service animal can travel free of charge upon presentation of a valid official or medical certificate regarding your disability.

Companion person requirements:

  • Must present a Companion Card, issued under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992

  • Must be able to present the required certificate at the bus to confirm your need for assistance

Service animal requirements:

  • Must be certified by a recognised association

  • Must have a collar or tag displaying their registration number

  • Must be trained for travel

  • Must remain tethered throughout the journey

  • You must also supply absorbent matting and be able to meet the animal's needs during travel.


How to register a companion or service animal

Once you have completed your booking, we will arrange a place for your companion or service animal. Please get in touch with our Customer Service team within the deadlines outlined below to complete the registration.

Please contact our Customer Service at least 36 hours before departure.

Booking for a child passenger with reduced mobility and their companion

If you need to make a reservation for a child passenger with reduced mobility who requires a companion, please contact our Customer Service team for further assistance.

We recommend getting in touch at least 1 week before your planned departure date.

To do so, click on the "Start chat" contact option below and request to register a child passenger with reduced mobility and their companion.

Rides operated by external partners might have different travel policies.

How to identify partner-operated rides

  1. During the booking process:
    • Desktop: On the top right side of the booking page
    • Mobile Web and Apps: Click the arrow to show trip details before entering booking information, or check the bottom of the booking page (where you fill out the booking details)
  2. On your PDF ticket:
    • Next to and under the route information
