Safety on board the bus
Your safety is our highest priority. Please follow these safety guidelines throughout your journey to help ensure a safe and comfortable trip for everyone.
Wear Your Seat Belt
Just like in a passenger car, passengers, including children, must wear their seat belt whenever they are seated on the bus. Every seat is equipped with a safety belt, which must be securely fastened for the duration of your journey.
Store Your Belongings Safely
Stored, excess and special baggage is transported in the designated baggage compartment. If you need assistance with storing your luggage, please ask your driver.
Small bags, backpacks and personal items should be stored in the overhead compartments or under the seat in front of you. Do not place luggage or personal items in aisles, stairways, emergency exits or other areas that could obstruct passengers or emergency access.
Please keep medication, identification and travel documents, money, electronics and other valuables with you when leaving the bus, even during a short scheduled break.
Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. FlixBus and its Bus Partners are not responsible for personal items that passengers bring onto or leave on the bus.
Our Commitment to Safe Operations
All vehicles operated by our Bus Partners, as well as relevant safety and electronic equipment, are inspected, tested and maintained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Our Bus Partners' drivers are qualified to transport passengers and receive regular training. Drivers are required to comply with legally mandated driving, break and rest periods. On longer journeys, this may mean that two drivers are assigned to the trip or that scheduled breaks are included along the route.
In exceptional circumstances, and whenever necessary to protect passenger and driver safety, an unplanned stop or delay may be necessary. We appreciate your understanding when these situations occur, as safety must always come first.
Have Feedback?
Your feedback helps us continuously improve the safety and quality of our Bus Partner’s service. If you would like to share feedback about your journey, please click one of the Contact buttons below and complete the appropriate form.
Thank you for helping us keep every journey safe.
Emergency cases
If you want to report a concern that is important for the safety and well-being of our passengers, you can always talk to the drivers and staff. For serious concerns we advise you to contact local emergency services (e.g. call 112). You can also use one of the contact methods you find at the bottom of this page.
Support in case of unwelcome conduct
Unwelcome conduct means conduct that an individual does not incite or solicit, and that the individual considers as undesirable or offensive. Flix cares about your safety. We think that personal space must be respected at all times, and we have zero-tolerance for forms of misconduct or violence.
In the unfortunate event of you witnessing or being a victim of misconduct on board, know that we are here to support you. Consider that you have the right to request the driver to park the bus at the next stop and to contact the police. Flix will collaborate with the authorities in case of an investigation. Check the information below to know what steps to take if you are either a victim or a witness:
If it’s happening right now
If you’re a victim, inform the staff or contact Flix Customer Service to report the situation. We are here to help you and we want to do it as fast as we can. For immediate support, do it via chat or call. You can see our contacts below. If possible, we recommend changing your seat.
If you are witnessing any inappropriate behavior, and if you feel safe, you might consider asking if the person that you are concerned about needs help. If they do, don’t handle it by yourself. Inform our staff or contact Flix Customer Service to report the situation. For immediate support, do it via chat or call.
If it happened during a past ride
If you have been a victim or a witness of misconduct while traveling on an earlier date, we assure you of our deepest sympathy. Reporting the case can lead to preventing the perpetrator from continuing their behavior, and ultimately to a safer network. If you feel you can share, please send or tell us the details about what happened. You can contact us via chat or call.
We take this issue very seriously and are committed to fighting against it.
