Finding my bus stop

We understand the importance of clarity when it comes to your journey, that’s why your bus stop information is conveniently provided via e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, and on your ticket.

If you want to check the complete list of boarding points please click here.

You can find more information on how to find your bus stop below.

You should receive a pre-ride SMS/WhatsApp with some info such as your boarding point, including the boarding point address, the Google Maps information, and a link that contains pictures and further details of the location.

You will also receive the host phone number via SMS/WhatsApp at least 30 minutes before your trip.

Please note that no pre-departure calls are made by our hosts.

While booking, if you provided your phone number, you should receive an SMS with the booking confirmation. If you provided your e-mail address, you may receive the booking confirmation via e-mail as well. Your ticket is attached to the booking confirmation, where you can find the details about your boarding point in the lower right corner of the PDF file.

You should have access to the boarding point address, the Google Maps information, and the link that contains pictures and further details of the location.

You can find an example below with the clickable link highlighted:

Go to Trip Tracker and insert your boarding point or your Booking (ID) number. After locating your trip, click on "Find your boarding point" to load the following options:

  • "Get directions" - If GPS location is enabled on your device, you’ll be redirected to maps which show your current location in relation to your boarding point coordinates. This feature is available on Android, iOS, mobile and web. Please note that location services must be enabled to get the directions.
  • "Navigate around the station" - You’ll be redirected to a PDF containing detailed information about your stop, including images of the stop and its surrounding area.

Documents needed for travel

You must bring a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. identity card or passport) when travelling on both national and international routes. You may be asked to present your ID when boarding, in addition to the booking confirmation. While ID may not be needed to board the bus, it could be required at other points during the journey (e.g. during police checks). Additionally, for cross-border trips: It is mandatory to bring all the necessary documents and identification papers with you.

Please be aware of:

  • any regulations related to passports, visas, foreign currency, and health. You can find information on these regulations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or from the Federal Police of your country;
  • any applicable customs regulations.

Also remember that your travel luggage should only contain goods that are exempt from duty, and your luggage should not be locked to help speed up customs clearance. It should be labeled with your name and address to ensure that there are no luggage mix-ups.

For questions related to customs regulations, please get in touch with the central customs authority of your country. FlixBus is not liable for any consequences resulting from a passenger’s failure to carry or show the necessary travel documents.

Non-EU nationals, meaning travellers for a short stay who do not hold the nationality of any European Union country or the nationality of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland, must register each time they cross the external borders of any European country. Check the full list of the countries for which the entry/exit system is in place.

This registration will happen at the time of the ticket purchase.

Does the EES regulation apply to me?

To understand whether this is applicable to you, check the latest updates on the EES regulation.

All passengers travelling between the Turkish and Bulgarian border might face delays due to border controls. Passengers might be asked to leave the bus with all their belongings to give the officers the possibility to inspect the vehicle.

We apologise for any inconvenience you might face and we remind you that FlixBus does not have any control on that.

Please contact KamilKoc for any information.

Bus equipment and facilities

Each bus is equipped with air conditioning, reading lights, USB ports, and comfortable seats.

In rare cases, power outlets may not be available, for example if a replacement vehicle is in use or if we sell tickets as a sales partner.

Smoking breaks and stop-offs

Some of our trips have breaks planned into the schedule for the purposes of providing driving breaks and rest periods for the drivers. However, our aim is to get you to your destination as quickly as possible, which is why we don't schedule any other type of break.

Smoking isn't permitted on our buses. E-cigarettes are also not permitted. You may get off the bus at scheduled stops and during the scheduled breaks. Please let the bus driver know in advance and don't move too far away from the bus to ensure that it doesn’t leave without you. The bus driver will let you know how long the bus will remain at the stop.
